Maths portfolio post

Description:
For maths we had to do a maths test. The first time I did it o got 68 percent the second time I dropped and got 64 percent. I think I dropped because I did the hard ones first. The ways I can improve is by practicing doing the easy ones first and doing stratiges.

Feedback/Feedfoward I think you did good on your test but now I know why you weren't doing as good as before it is because you haven't been practicing and I think you need to use the strategys I liked how you made a mistake so now you can learn from what you did wrong and I think the photo could be better but there wasn't much of a difference between your first test and your second testi think you just didn't do the same strategy and because the questions on the test.

Evaluation:
I think I did good but next time I could use more stratiges like start with easy ones and finish on the hard ones.

Reading

Description:
For reading I read my book diary of a soccer star. I finished already. I started it last Wednesday. I took a photo of the book here it is.

Today for handwriting I did a poem. My goal was to be legible I think I did pretty good. It is lots better than the other poems I have completed.

Description:
In Troy's maths group we got a task. The task was about mixels maths. There was grey blocks curved blockes round blocks plate blocks and slope blocks. All up there was 300 blocks. We had to Se what fractions they have me and Louis worked it out together.

I think I did really good it working it out and on finishing it quick. Next time I could explain my working out.

Weather inquiry portfolio sample

Description:
Every Friday for the past three weeks Troy's whanu class does inquiry about weather. On the first week our class split up into two different groups to make a barometer. If it's high that means it's gonna be hot if it is low that means it's gonna be more cold. Everyone in our class made a weather,inquiry slide. Every day you take a photo of the sky in our slide we write if the barometer high or low. Also we had to write what clouds we thought was outside. We failed but this is the image of what it should look like.

MAKE LIGHTNING IN YOUR MOUTH

MATERIALS:

  • Wint-O-Green or Pep-O-Mint lifesavers
  • dark room
  • mirror

PROCESS:

Go to a really dark room and stand in front of the mirror. Wait a few minutes until your eyes get accustomed to the darkness.

Put a Wint-O-Green or a Pep-O-Mint lifesaver in your mouth. 

While keeping your mouth open, break the lifesaver up with your teeth and look for sparks. If you do it right, you should see bluish flashes of light.

EXPLANATION:

Why does this happen? When you break the lifesaver apart, you’re breaking apart sugars inside the candy. The sugars release little electrical charges in the air. These charges attract the oppositely charged nitrogen in the air. When the two meet, they react in a tiny spark that you can see.


RESULTS:

We tried it with odd fallows and other mints but it didn't work to well because we were suppose to use lifesavers but we couldn't find any. We only saw a little bit of spark.

Evaluation:
I think I did pretty good at it like I made sure I put it in at the write time and to keep my mouth open the whole time. Next time I could work on finding and getting the right mints I think that's why it didn't work.

Description:
Today for handwriting me and fletcher did two poems. The first poem was twinkle twinkle and the second poem was baa baa black sheep.


Evaluation:
My goal was to be fast I think I achieved it because I had 2 minutes to spear

Spelling

Description:
Today for spelling me and Fletcher put the words we got wrong in a word find it took as 30 minutes to finish it and I've remember most of them.

Handwriting portfolio sample

Description:

In poutama we did a handwriting sample. We had 5 minutes to finish and there was 58 words. We focused on accuracy speed and legible. We had to rate our selfs out of 4 I gave myself a 3


Evaluation: 
I think I did well with speed because not much people finished it and I was close

Spelling portfolio sample

Description:
Last week all of Troy's class did a spelling test. There was 300 words. One day we did 150 words then the next day we did 150 words. The teachers marked in a pink high litter the ones we got wrong I got 10 wrong here is the test

Description:
Last term when Troy was with the other teachers we had chris in our class. We did art all day our art was called graffiti art. We had to get a four or under word then we did a draft. We painted the outside and did bold letters here is my finishing product.
